'police....responsible for the arrestee as found'....... 'whether feigned or real'. Interesting comment from the judge. but does yelling 'i cant breathe' mean that the police find the he cant breathe, or that they find he is yelling 'i cant breathe'?

That would have been a good follow up question! I bet the police have many more people they arrest that dishonest with them than honest...makes for a tough job!

I'm guessing the false report was less important than ballot harvesting and illegal ballots, but whose countin?

The Dems did nothing last summer, why would it change?

How do people who have put in writing the above items get past the submission stage? how can they find a jury for a fair trial with that level of 'impartiality'.

There is no end to the effort that many make here to exonerate a white police officer who has killed a black man - even when the act of killing can be observed occurring over 8 excruciating minutes. It speaks volumes about the attitudes that lead to acts like this. Slavery may have ended over 150 years ago and Jim Crow nearly 60 years ago but some things still haven't changed much in America.

we have dealt with your clearly biased wp account. its a pity; maybe if they had represented them in a more reasonable manner, they would have been more credible. but your doctor claiming you od on oral fentanyl within ten minutes was a laughable error.

I doubt anyone believes Floyd would be dead today if he had just drove away. He is dead because he had a knee on his neck for almost nine mintutes and that should be totally obvious.
Did the cop show up to kill anyone, of course not but once he put his knee on the neck a change came over him and he decided to put an end Floyd.
Floyd probably had a tolerance built up and knew what he could take and being a big guy, well....

The only "laughable error" is your presumption you know more about medicine than a doctor and drug specialist. The Post also interviewed 7 drug other experts who all but one dismissed the claim of an overdose.
The defence doesn't "just" need a reasonable doubt; it has to produce evidence - facts - that can show Chauvin didn't cause Floyd's death, or there is no "reasonable doubt". Speculation isn't facts or evidence and there will be more medical experts than otherwise who will be able to testify Floyd's death wasn't an overdose.
The verdict is going to be quite a disappointment to you - invested as you are in wanting to see a white cop get off from killing a black man like a bug under his foot (sorry, his knee).

If I consume a lethal dose of fentanyl and then I am shot in the head, did the fentanyl kill me?

You know, as a doctor who actually treats patients in the setting of many types of overdose, intentional and otherwise, I am not so sure. When I saw the initial clips that the media played and didn’t know the whole story, before I listened to the audio and saw the rest of the video, and before I knew the post mortem findings/tox report I briefly let myself get enraged and said give chauvin the needle. The crime against GF seemed clear.
Now I am not sure. I think I could be an impartial jurist in this case. I need to know all the facts. The post mortem findings with the fentanyl level and the pulmonary edema are fairly typical in a patient who arrives intubated from the field. Given George Floyd already has evidence of pulmonary edema with foamy secretions, I suspect the police were already dealing with a man who was very ill and well on his way to a medical emergency. They seemed to know this and activated and then further escalated request for EMS. Again, in a colorblind manner the facts should play out and what criminal intent or negligence that the police did or did not commit should be determined. It is certainly not clear to me with the information at hand as someone who deals with overdose.

No. (Nor is it proven Floyd consumed a dose of fentanyl that would have killed him. But not being able to breathe under Chauvin's knee would).
