Guys, if a female touched you inappropriately, the attractiveness of said female would matter, right? If a cute girl grabbed your butt, you would feel way less violated than if it was some smelly, obese cow of a woman. Well, this guy is a cow, and I can understand how she could be repulsed to a much greater extent than if she'd been grabbed by a handsome young man.

Many people on this thread, who are defending the man who slapped this reporter's butt, are failing to understand context. This is not the time or place to engage in that behavior. She was working and reporting a story, he was supposed to be running. Some people jumped in the camera to wave. That is ok, since they did not really disrupt her broadcast. However, after the man slaps her butt, you could see in her expression that she was uncomfortable.

Why would someone think that it is a good idea to slap a stranger's butt in the middle of a race? It was uncalled for and disrespectful. There is a significant difference between a friendly butt slap between teammates, which is common in team sports. This is completely different, since they are not teammates, and presumably have no relationship to one another, he comes across as creepy. There is not the same sense of camaraderie.

The most important aspect to this incidence is consent. She obviously did not consent to being slapped on her butt. She did not deserve to be slapped on her butt and he should apologize.
