another juiced russian record broken by a country with systematic doping supporting serial dopers and coaches.

Yeah I didn't notice it before either. I get that someone like Muhammad would be jealous of Sydney because she's the young up and comer making a ton of money and is gorgeous and seems to have everything going for her, but come on you just set a WR! Be classy about it. Maybe Sydney isn't really happy for her because she wants the WR for herself, but you have to learn how to play the game better than that.
Sydney is not someone I would want to piss off the year before Tokyo. I don't see Muhammad beating her much longer. We're gonna see Sydney running on pure hate when she goes up against Muhammad. Maybe she'll even move up to the 800.

Was the former WR holder actually caught doping, or do you just hate Russia to the point where you think Americans aren't dopers unless they beat Russians?
Top American sprinters are the most suspect of all, by far. They're the most competitive market with the highest stakes, thus logically the hardest to win without doping. As BALCO proved, they're generally ahead of the testing curve too. The 1988 coverup showed they're institutionally protected.
The NCAA still doesn't do midnight tests. US sprinters have a free pass to microdose every evening with zero risk, until they're out of college and officially "pro" and subject to real scrutiny. It's as corrupt as ever. The number of new men's sprinters going ~9.80 is a huge red flag all by itself.
The over/under for these ladies at worlds, off of US turf, is probably 53 high.

Are you guys slow? She clearly says “I’m so happy for her” during the interview then when the interviewer moves on she directs her excitement towards Dalilah herself. The “I am so happy for you” and “Omg” are not in response to Dalilah making petty comments. It’s general excitement that she got the world record. Please read body language better. That’s probably why you guys always call the cops on us for seemingly no reason. It’s like hearing guys yelling outside but in reality it’s just a Jordan vs Lebron debate. I’ve watched the vid multiple times. Nothing to see here

I don't "hate Russians", as you suggest; I accept the claim made by their own whistleblowers that "99%" of their athletes were doping (and as the athletics powers-that-be also pretty much accepted as fact). It therefore stands to reason that an American beating a likely doped record may well also be doping. American doping may not be of the proportions of Russian doping - whose is? - but there is no doubt that it occurs. Flojo (highly likely), Marion Jones, and Gatlin - a long tradition in American track.

I can't believe there isn't a lengthy separate thread regarding what occurred during the post race interview. I knew NBC would ignore it but I assumed the sharp posters here would be all over it. In all my decades of following this sport I have never seen anyone make such a low class move immediately following such a triumphant race.
Sydney McLaughlin made a very sincere comment to Lewis Johnson that, "I am so happy for her," regarding Muhammad's world record. That is very representative of Sydney's personality, for anyone who has followed her. She wants the event to advance and for someone to push and challenge her.
However, the American female hurdlers are a bitter jealous vindictive collection of bitches. This has been obvious for more than a decade. If you are not among the preferred clique then they want no part of you. Lolo Jones was the first target for the 100 crew. Now at least some of the 400 group have turned their jealous venom on Sydney McLaughlin. I sensed that was already present -- and would only grow -- but I never dreamed one of them would unleash it during a live interview on NBC.
Watch it closely. After Sydney makes the comment about, "...so happy for her," along with saying something about the same group from Rio returning to Doha, Lewis Johnson starts to briefly interview the third place finisher. However, Dalilah Muhammad obviously took immediate offense at Sydney's "so happy for her" remark, and made some type of dismissive comment to Sydney, while the interview was still underway. Sydney was shocked and said to Dalilah, "I AM so happy for you."
Dalilah followed with another smart ass comment or gesture to Sydney. That is obvious because just as the interview is concluding, Sydney says, "Oh my god," as if she can't believe how Dalilah is responding, that somehow she turned a world record into reason to launch jealous bitchery.
After the races and quick interview the 3 qualifiers always huddle and celebrate together. Following Muhammad's disgraceful display I knew there was no chance that would happen here. Sure enough, she departed away from the crowd -- and glanced back at Sydney -- while Sydney and third place finisher Ashley Spencer heading in the opposite direction...smack toward the crowd.
Guaranteed that NBC picked all of this up and knew what transpired. I was hoping they would have enough guts to comment, or even ask Lewis Johnson on air if he heard the exchange. Nope. Zilch. They want to wish it away into the cornfield.
Yeah...lots of luck.
Even prior to Muhammad's low class comment you could already tell she was obsessed with McLaughlin and all the positive attention she receives. During the interview with Lewis Johnson. Muhammad said "all the distractions" and during those words intentionally shifted her eyebrows to her right, where Sydney was standing.
I guarantee Sydney had no idea what was going on, or what would follow. She's only been on the one international team and seemed genuinely happy that it would be the same familiar group again.
I saw the incident in real time because I was looking for that type of thing. I am well aware of the low class nature of some of the American female hurdlers. They are first to praise God and first to find the gutter. It is such pathetic contrast to all the events in which the track and field competitors have genuine admiration, respect and support for each other, like decathlon, pole vault and steeplechase.
Not sure if you're hallucinating or dishonest, but she does not shift her eyes right when she says "distractions" and she was referring to the conditions. Sydney's comments do not reflect your interpretation either: she congratulates her on air, then in person then says "oh my God" as in proclaiming how good the performance was.
The Lolo debacle back in the day was awful, but nothing here reflected that.
In the rain!!!!!

I can't help but think that if her name was Mary Smith this line of discussion would never have started.
This is letsrun after all. The site where all great accomplishment is immediately disparaged. She's a doper or her shoes are illegal! There's never any proof, of course. Dalilah broke 53 in the Olympic trials in 2016 and is a multiple diamond league champion.
This really sets a new low. Now, in addition to being a drug cheat, she is apparently a poor sport as well. What a crap hole of a website this is.
But I do have a question tho. Did I miss a black page or is that coming tomorrow?
That is the stupidest post I have read in a long time. I feel dumber for having read it. You should be ashamed of yourself.

This is the worst comment in the history of this site, which is an amazing accomplishment.
You should be ashamed of yourself and banned.
Meh, just another doper.

Everything you said is complete BS.
Any and every american who runs scary fast,is suspicious. But then 3 of their male shot putters went over 22 meters, which is way more ridiculous than dahlia's world record.18 men put the shot over 19 meters.

Sydney is still 19. I believe she has potential to go sub 52.
I think the women's record needs to get closer to the equivalent men's WR. 46.7 - 51 .7 about a 5 second difference.
I think this year or next!
Hey bro:

She may go sub 52 inshallah.
