Centro always takes it to an entirely different level when he is peaked and tapered. He seems to be right where he needs to be. Also, he has never been a time trialer. He is a guy who will smoke anyone in a kick in a slow race.

Centro refused to give up the lead position and that was the difference. It was really smart despite the slow overall time. Makhloufi is a 1:42 800m guy. The others behind him were faster 1500m runners.

What are you talking about? He went right to the front and answered every single move. I don't care what the time was, that was a great race on his part. To answer every surge and move as aggressively as he did and then still out kick some of the best kickers in the world is incredible. You are wrong. Centro was passed several times. That means he DID NOT lead wire-to-wire.
