Aesthetically, I find the look of the flyknit to be way better, so much so that these are offputting to me. I know it's how the shoe performs, but I hate the off-center laces and baggy translucent upper. The oversized swoosh extending onto the toebox is another design detail I could live without.

Hey dude, if unused and unworn nikes return policy is very good, had mine since start of march and they said because they are unworn and still new i can return for full refund.

That's some tenacious cherry-picking to find marathons where 3 hours garners even an age group award, let alone podium spot.

Even if the shoe didn't make you go faster, it would still be a top marathon shoe for any runner.

So, top 10% would be 3:29:41 and faster.
Midpackers would fall between 4:09:17 and 4:56:20. So sub-3 is not even close to "midpack." Even sub-4 is ahead of midpack. Dead middle of the pack is 4:32:02.
And dead last was 11:44:10.
Sub-3 is top 2.28%. I'm no expert but I've never hear top 3% described as middle of the pack.

Ah thanks for the help. Relatively new here so don't have the letsrun lexicon all worked out.
Is this the point where I call everyone whose 5k is over 15:30 a "hobby jogger" then puff up my chest about that 15:25 I ran 15 years ago? *awaits the letsrun mafia who only recognizes sub-15 as an acceptable 5k*
