At a minimum red meat daily, organic grass fed organ meats 3x a week, and fish 3x a week. Get rid of all the vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds and whole grains due to fiber and antinutrents. Only acceptable forms of sugar/carbs(only in low amounts for someone who exercises a lot and/or to maintain weight) seasonal local organic fruits, refined white grains fermented i.e. sourdough bread, raw local honey and raw whole milk.

I appreciate the input. I do think that this seems...extreme. What other long-distance runners are eating beef every day, let alone for most meals and raw?

How the Japanese eat:
I feel qualified to post on this topic because I've been at the Coach Koide/Naoko Takahashi training camps both in Boulder and Japan.
I've had the unique opportunity to go to the grocery store in Japan with their cook and Masako Chiba who is also coached by Koide.
They employ professional cooks both in Japan and Boulder. Koide owns a large house in Boulder where they train in the summer.
Their diets are carefully programmed, and they eat a lot of fish, beef, liver, tofu, fresh vegetables, etc. Yes they do eat rice, but they eat huge amounts of protein in many forms, and huge fresh salads with cheese. They don't eat huge amounts of rice, but I've seen Q-chan (Takahashi) down a huge plate of sashimi (raw fish) and then a huge bowl of Ikura-don (one of her favorite things to eat), which is steamed rice topped with scrambled egg, salmon eggs and seaweed, and then more sushi.
Mr. Koide, her coach, is big into protein for muscle and blood cell recovery.
This is one thing that I think would benefit the top teams in the USA: A professional cook and nutritionist planning and cooking every meal.
Jason
I think he should eat at WaWa food market for a month as a way to build his foundation to where he wants to go. I'm 100% serious about this. Egg sandwiches, chicken quesadillas, steak hoagies. All that fat and protein will jumpstart his energy systems. He should eat there for every meal, supplementing with salads/fruits etc at home.
How would guys like Droddy, Stinson and Parsons hold up in a camp like the Robinson’s or Kipchoge ..?
What's with the pro runner obsession with oatmeal? Even when I'm not running if I eat oatmeal for breakfast I'm hungry by 11am. If i were a professional runner training for a marathon, I'd either need to eat 3-4 cups of oatmeal for breakfast or 1 cup covered in butter or some other fatty substance.

As far as eating? The Robertson brothers would win by a landslide. That documentary made about them years ago showed them eat fast food hours before their meet, where they attempt to get the Olympic qualifier. 17:55
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9lTJNSvUNE"Kenyan marathon runners are known for their winning longevity, with many runners still smashing records well into their mid and late thirties.
They eat a High-Carb, Low-Fat, Low-Protein diet, primarily plant-based.
Approximately 85% carbohydrates, 10% protein, and 5% fat.[1]
A typical Kenyan meal consists of the following:
Ugali (a type of cornmeal porridge)
Sukuma wiki (collared greens)
Ndengu (stewed mung beans)
Chapati (a tortilla-like bread made with wheat flour)
This is the same diet that turned Mo Farah into a world champion."

Yeah, probably do even better if they upped their protein intake. Kenyans are not eating only 5% of their calories from fat. That is a bunch of BS. They drink a lot of whole fat milk in their tea. And they love putting butter on their bread. And cattle is a sign of wealth, meat, especially red meat is consumed often. And lastly, meat is not cancer. Veganism on the other hand, feels like a cancer on humanity. Do Kenyans eat overall most of their calories from carbs, probably. But it is nowhere near that 85% figure you gave. More likely in the 60-70 percent range.

Why do you say that?
Phelps himself said the 12,000 calories a day was a lie
