Funny you say that. When I was 17 I was 6'3" and weighed a 175 lbs. There was an Olympian at that time who was my height but weighed 185. I lifted all summer and put on the missing 10 lbs. I then proceeded to run much slower than I had anticipated. I lost the 10 lbs at the beginning of my 3rd year in college and started to run so much faster. So much for 6-3 and weighing 185 lbs.

The OP is the type that stares at other guys in the locker room.
I did double in the 400 and 800 in terms that I ran the 4x4 after I ran the 800. As a longtime coach I have had some kids do that double in individual events. I have seen some people who had the same body build that I had run well in the 800. I believe that what one should weigh is very individual. As a coach I have never made rules. If one eats properly and trains properly their best weight for running can be achieved. One of the problems with eating is that food tastes so good it so easy to over-eat. My wife is an excellent cook. I could easily eat about 40& more than I do. When I finish dinner I "feel" hungry. But 5 min. later that feeling has totally disappeared.
