um, proof that we don't "absorb any calcium and nutrients" from plant sources? Wow I must be screwed then! Check your reading comprehension. I specifically said to use a "DHA " algae based source for essential fatty acids...NOT "ALA"! You also say we have a digestive system that has adapted to "digest raw meat." Again I challenge you to eat raw chicken all the time. Cooking has been an important evolutionary tool for both eating meat and being able to gain more nutrients from different plant sources/grains. Finally, you mention "German nutrion" (sic). That is very interesting because Germany is actually has a very fast growing vegan market/population. Vegan diets are of course in the minority worldwide...but it is growing...the "push back" has actually been quite fascinating. When the true cost of beef and dairy is realized more people will simply be forced to become more vegetarian...assuming the continuing trend of human population growth (over-population) and destruction of the environment from global warming. You have to be trolling? "Anti-nutrients" in vegetables?! Obviously certain compounds may block absorption rates of different things, but the great thing about fruits and vegetables is how many vitamins and nutrients there are per calorie....that are absorbed by the human body.

Can one do that on a 100% vegan (plant based whole grain) diet. Yes....at this day and age.
Can do that on a 100% meat diet? No. They would become unhealthy.
We're not dogs or like other "carnivores" (despite people sawing in the other thread that our teeth, jaws and digestive tracts are "just like dogs"). Try biting through the hide of a cow with your "strong jaws and sharp teeth"....try eating raw chicken meat and see how that goes for you.
Plants and fruits are some of the most nutrient foods per calorie that you can possibly have. Chock full of antioxidants. Everyone knows that "eating more vegetables" is generally a good thing for healthy from reducing the risk of cancer to improving health markers and staying lean. Worried about Protein? All essential amino acids can be found in plant sources. If you are eating enough calories and eating a somewhat balanced diet there is no reason that you would ever be "low on protein." Worried about Omegas? Have some flax/nuts and maybe an algae based DHA oil. Calcium? Some of the best sources are from vegetables. .
As usual sage, you are saying a bunch of vegan nonsense. On calcium, your body on not absorb the calcium in plants. And the plants that you vegans point to as being high sources of calcium are the ones with anti nutrients that prevent the body from absorbing vitamins and minerals. On omega 3, your body has a very poor conversion rate of ALA to DHEA AND EPA. On the digestive system there you go again saying a bunch of vegan nonsense. Our jaw, teeth and digestive system is way more adapt to digesting raw meat than it is to consume raw plant matter. Than you make the claim that a 100% vegan diet is healthy. According to whom? Look up the German nutrion statement on vegan diets. Than your statement on 100% carnivore diet is based off of what? Vegan propaganda?
