Before you quit make sure your mom sends an email to the coach about how he/she has now ruined your life and how they are a terrible person. Don't forget to cc the AD, principal, and superintendent. Then quit and train with private coach for individual glory.

I mean, if it caused you to be suspended you probably said something pretty harsh. And who was near you when you said it? Did the coach or your teacher hear you say it or did you say it directly to the girl's face? If the latter just tell your coach that she is lying or something.

Someone might care about your perceived problem. I'm not one. There are starving children in Baltimore who might care more.

How, "basically, exactly" so? By the way, "basically, exactly," is redundant. So you're saying the poster was exactly wrong, for each point.

To help us understand how you qualify candidates, "exactly," it'd help the whining high school kid OP to understand what traits VCs actually look for. As clearly the many exits poster was wrong.

When you're interviewing your founders, do you ask them their high school GPA? Their college one? Do you ensure that your portfolio companies do so for their hires?

Do you not probe for how a founder gets on with others, you know, that "team" thing? You don't call around and ask if a candidate plays well with others?

And, speaking of resumes, you'd rather not see evidence if well rounded actual extra - curricular activities, like being an all American athlete?

I don't care about high school. I do care if you took and excelled in calculus. I do care a lot about college. The drop out genius myth is for TV. If you can't get through college there's usually something wrong with you personally and I probably won't bet on you.

Of course I care how execs get along with others - I do not care if they point out absurdities that cost them personally. I want them to. Shifting the timing of a grade matters exactly like shifting the shipment of a product from one quarter to the next. If you don't think it matters, I don't want to invest in you. Not interested in go along to get along type people - they cost you money. No successful VC is and the poster I responded to was a sheep.

Sports in college? That matters for a sales guy, not a founder. An all American college athlete probably wasn't much for studying, Not a negative, but I'd laugh if that made it on a resume after 3 years.

Silicon Valley is hilarious. It's not reality.

A few things from an adult:

1. Your classmate can do whatever they want. Unless they do something against the rules or law then you don't really have a say. But you also can call them out for risk of sounding like an elite prick.

2. No one cares about your status as a runner in this situation.

3. If they were actually sick then you are truly out of line. People do get sick and bringing an illness to school is very irresponsible (didn't you say something about being a serious runner?).

4. Get your grades up beforehand if you actually do care so much.

5. Stop trying to justify it and trying to get backing online. You must really lack surety in your decisions or self esteem.

6. Sure, go ahead and quit. That will show them. It will show you can easily drive yourself to make self destructive decisions with your life the second things don't go exactly your way.

In your case, the girl played a sort of combo gender/disability card for her own personal benefit, and at the expense of others. Calling out someone who plays one of these cards is so non-PC, so "dehumanizing", that you could easily be permanently banned from polite (or at least PC) society for the duration of your existence.

You f*ckedup. Big time. 23 minute 5k could make varsity some places and your sense of superiority (as others have pointed out) is completely misplaced, you aren't better than her. High school is an insignificant part of your life in the grand scheme of things. Grow up a bit. if I was a college admissions officer and knew about this I'd reject your application; you weren't standing up for others, you were standing up because you wanted to hear yourself talk.

I can’t imagine what it must be like to be such a delusional loser that I assume that everyone else is getting preferential treatment because they’re doing better than I am. You’re bitter because there are people who have actual challenges (like dyslexia, which - BTW - isn’t mentioned at all by the OP) that they work hard to deal with, and are successful, and you...fail despite having the tremendous advantage of being healthy? Newsflash: every single person will someday need help from someone. Every body eventually breaks down, as do many minds. It’s the reality of life. OP, if you’re still around: you get the grades you earn. If you and your friends had Cs or As or whatever going into that quiz, it was because that was the grade you had earned up to that point. She had nothing to do with it. If I were your coach, you’d be off the team, because character matters, and being the kind of kid who expects a pat on the back for being an a sshole and who can’t take responsibility for his own grades or his actions isn’t a kid I want on my team. I’m sure with your stellar work ethic and tremendous sense of personal responsibility, you’ll do great training solo ?

Ok here's what I would do:

Since you got suspended from training with your coach, you can still train by yourself.

Train by yourself INFRONT of the girl and the coach.

For example if your running practice starts straight after school, you go to the track straight after school and start running laps to make everybody think " he's cool"

As a girl myself, I know that some girls get offended over nothing ( not me. My friend who I stopped being friends with because she kept on getting mad at me and my brother)
