State Qualifying for Indoors has changed. They take a fixed number of athletes for each event based upon a descending order list.

That has not been true for a few years. The time standard is a guideline and they only accept the X top declared times so he did cause some kid to not make it. This is due to the limited space and time frame available for the meet. They sometimes let in one or two more so it is possible he told ptfca he was thinking of scratching but it looks like that was not the case as the mile had 18 (instead of 20) and the 800 had 22 (instead of 24). People will scratch due to injury or illness but he had to know about Boston.
I guess when you do what is best for you all the time it could be why you transfer every year. 3 schools in 4 years. Same for the older brother. One year at Penn State then transferred. I’m sure if some coach doesn’t agree with the parents they move on.

Well actually PA uses a descending order list, so, for what it's worth, he actually used up a spot and it would have gone to a senior. Is that his problem? No. Should the state association suspend that school for a year. Probably. As far as the people complaining about him not competing for his team, the family is in it for the Team Hoey. They all change schools like kids change phone covers. The coach doesn't care. He admittedly steals established transfers from local Downingtown West and Coatesville. Hired mercenaries is unfortunately a growing part of HS sports. Is what it is.

True, Robby didn’t get the outdoor record but he ran a second faster outdoors than he ran indoors for his record. If Hoey replicates that, he’ll run 1:46 this spring and possibly get the record. I’d love to see how close to 4 he could run too, the kid absolutely slaughtered the field at Millrose.
Don't wish him the record. The record did not really help the current outdoor HS record holder.

I hope that's not true.
Please know that kids do change schools for valid reasons unrelated to athletics.
