This thread really reaffirms many of my worst impressions of liberals.

It's a nasty combination of hatefulness and ignorance. I can deal with the hatefulness a bit given the nature of partisanship politics. But It's the ignorance and completely illogical reasoning used that worries me. I'm not sure I've ever seen such illogical or incorrect thoughts expressed in written form. Are people really this stupid or are they just trolling. Are they that ignorant about how the world works? Just wow!

Lastly, do I recall anything like this coming from the right when Sandy hit? What goes on in the dim mind of a liberal? That's a scary place, much more frightening than any hurricane.

When Sandy hit, most Republican lawmakers (like Mike Pence) held up funding efforts and wanted any relief money paid to come out of cuts for other things.

"We simply can't allow a catastrophe of nature to become a catastrophe of debt for our children and grandchildren," Pence said at the time.

Texas and Louisiana should get full federal support for whatever they need to recover from the terrible flooding and it should not hurt any other funding needs.

Just like when we go to war or invade countries in the Middle East.

This thread is an example of why Trump's support continues along just fine among most of the country. Yes, most of the country supports him and will continue to do so especially in 2018 and 2020 when they will show up to vote for him. First of all, Trump's support does not continue on "just fine".

But this doesn't have to do with him.

It's about the fight that Congress put up over funding.

They need a blank check to help them out.

And they'll get it.

Democrats won't hold it up.

Trump will OK funding.

And Republicans will help out their Republican area.

The OP was shown wrong about the Taxes tax collections. Just because they don't have state income tax does not mean that they don't get taxes.

We can bicker about hypocrites and ideology.

But the people need help. From the entire country.

They need good socialism to the rescue.
