At least $10 million per year (maybe more), since I believe that my chance of making more than $10 million per year is higher than going sub 14.

14 is better than almost everyone, but its also so far away from being visible.

I say its the equivalent of 80-100k in the small Arizona town I live in.

Why is it unfortunate? Many reasons. #1 I'd say is most people do not reach their true potential due to economic reasons. #2 would be that the sport I like has the least paid pro athletes. Compare the runners to MLB or the NFL.

I'm indifferent to what other people do to make money, but very few people are entertained by 13 minute 5K runners much less 14. Society suffers when people like 14:00 runners delay their productivity years to run.
