You don't have a clue. His 3-cone drill at the combine, which is a measure of acceleration and lateral ability, was off the charts. His 37.5-inch vertical was far better than Fournette’s 28.5 or Cook’s 30.5 jumps. The other side of things never mentioned is drugs. Drugs exaggerate the difference between the races in some sports. They have a heightened effect on blacks when it comes to speed, and on whites and Asians when it comes to strength. Hence there are few white sprinters of note and literally zero black strength athletes of note outside of "power lifting" which is known outside the US as cheat lifting. This is because you can have a guy with short legs or a guy with long arms beat guys stronger guys in the squat or the deadlift because of the way the events are set up. Heck, get some fat guys of any race out there to bench press and some of them are barely moving the bar and being credited with 800 pound lifts and more. It's ridiculous.

Great point.With his experience at QB I would rather have seen him at TE or H-Back, where he could get out in pass patterns, but either way Tebow would have been excellent. Great athlete, that guy is.

Some of the question marks the cupboards are pretty bare as only journeyman have been tailbacks or fullbacks.

Your comparing him to other non-speedy back in the combine. He ran 4.48 which is not all that fast. His three 3CD and shuttle were very good. Notice how historically the standout performers in those drills are considered the quickest NFL players. Scouts know there is a skill to the 3CD
As I said, CM could be a very good back on the right team, but his physical ability ranks him right up there with 50 prospective backs over the last 5 yrs for example. Don't get too excited. I would never look at this guy and say his physical tools alone make him such a special back

Read more carefully.
We're not remarking on his ability as a QB. The NFL definitely saw his talent. They just didn't see it at QB b/c it wasn't there at QB. Tebow only wanted to play QB; he would've been excellent at a different position and several teams wanted him to play a different role. He was too stubborn for that.
Take a look at his combine numbers across indices that measure athleticism: He's a tremendous raw athlete. Problem is, none of that stuff determines quarterbacking ability.
