I would like to think you could run sub 4:00 for the 1500. I remember a season where I ran 2 X 800 slightly faster than 2:08 during the first indoor practice of the season. I went on to run 4:12 that year. I was lacking a good base though because of an injury the year before.
One thing to keep in mind is that your workouts and practices are not your races. Too often we get caught up in thinking we have to run race pace or faster every day or do so many miles. I think it takes a long time to make an overnight sensation.
You will have ups and downs during the season but will have breakthrough races as well where you might PR by 10 seconds. Study race strategy. You can try going out fast once. Even more important is trying to run even pace or coming from behind. "The person sprinting at the end of the race is not always the fastest but is the strongest."
