Let me remind you my little American friend that each country can send limited athletes. If the it were according to performance regardless those peices of papers so called nationality (a man made illusion)- you would not see any American medals in the long distance and hardly any Americans at all- definitely that bronze medal of Rupp would be now in Kenyan or Ethiopian hands.

Her 2016-2017 story is pretty amazing and cover story worthy. Her 10k PR would get her lapped by women like Shalane & Molly yet her Prague half marathon time makes her competitive w/ them. She went from being a high school/college stand out to a borderline non factor in elite track races, to running road times that are equal to or better than our best female US marathoners. Really looking forward to seeing how she handles the 26.2 in a few weeks!

Jordan is awesome! I think she struggled a bit when her mom died and maybe got too "comfortable" with the workouts she was doing. Changing her training seems to have opened up new talent! I hope she does well in Boston!
It would be nice if the world was color blind, but it is not. There are a number of reasons East African runners typically outperform most non-African runners. Genetics being a major reason. This does not mean we can't appreciate runners from our neck of the woods who strive to run at an elite level.
To diminish their effort because they don't look like Africans and live and train with all the benefits this land has to offer is some kind of reverse racism or white privilege shame being peddled by academia and the Trump-hating media. Eight years of Obama pushing this racial divide in this country has done quite a bit of damage to the minds of the young and old.
