Relaxed runner just finished 100 marathons in 100 days

He has a video of him doing the New Orleans Marathon on Feb 4, 2017. One of two actual marathons it seems he did in the 100 days. Missed the first two timing mats, first one to catch him was at 10 miles and finished in 5:21.

The other marathon, March 4 in Columbia, didn't look like they had any mats, very small race, finished in 5:09.

So, who knows. He's certainly going slow but he is a big fat man.

4:20 mile? Ha!

So, for anyone who thinks he could have slogged 99 5:30 marathons and one 100-miler on consecutive days, consider this:

A fat dude slogging 5-to-6-hour marathons is believeable. But the one thing this fat guy lied about was saying that ran a 4:20 mile??? Nope. Anybody who tells a whopper like that is lying about something else too.

on his Facebook, he also has some videos saying some took ~7hrs. I assume that's just walking??

I don't believe any of it. Someone that does 100 consecutive marathons at any place cannot wind up that fat.

In a Facebook video he said he ran the 3rd (of 100) marathon in 3:50.

Maybe. I'm 6'5", 260 and I'm built a whole lot like him. I'm guessing he's almost exactly my size.

If any of this is true, I'm impressed. A five hour marathon is hard work for me. No way could I do it every day and then do 100 miles at a faster pace at the end.

Your 'maybe' is generous. You mention Eddie Izzard. Did you see his transformation? This toad is a fraud. I certainly would guess he's more of a psychiatric case than a full blown scam artist. His GoFundMe only raised $5800 or so. Not getting rich through his endeavor.

I think Derek is the guy to deal with it, he loves researching this stuff. I think the real issue will be a total lack of any GPS data to prove any of his runs. It's just his word that he was running 26 miles on a beach every day. Other than his obesity and seeming lack of running ability, he did it mostly right to make it hard to show he didn't do it. On the other hand, he'll never be able to prove that he did. These people always have true believers

He doesn't even claim to do that. He just posts about the charity on social media. That's what the charity gets when you donate to him: a twitter post about the charity.
