Two runners I knew would taunt and yell at each other at the end of races (and sometimes during them). The animosity kept building until after a local 5k one accused the other of cutting the course, resulting in the winner and second place finisher getting into a full-on scrawny-nerd brawl. That alone is pretty hilarious, but it was a Girl Scout fundraiser fun run so it played out in front of a bunch of elementary school girls and their moms.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Ethiopian and Eritrean guys who started fighting DURRING world cross country a few years ago. Can't remember if it was Imane Merga, but he's been DQ'ed a few times for shoving. Pushed Solinsky into the bushes once.
Very nearly in one at the Armory about 12 years ago. The Metropolitan athletics conference ran super late, and the Masters' Mile went off a 2am.
Tempers were a bit frayed by then, and after I won, someone wanted to have "free and frank" discussion about it the tactics.

That's where a fight definitely SHOULD have started, but the players were too sissy to duke it out the real way. Could have been a huge track brawl if that happened somewhere else or had one hard wired guy involved.
Way back (1989) at a District meet in PA. I watched one runner trip and shove a runner into the infield in the final straight on the 1600m. The winner ran 3 sec. under the qualifying time for the State meet (so both would have made it) and the runner he tripped, jogged across the line in 4th. The officials refused to disqualify the runner despite the entire stadium witnessing it. About 30 minutes after the race, the tripped runner was escorted out for having tackled the kid and whaled on him behind the bleachers.

league track like 10 years ago. prior to the 4x100 there was A LOT of talking going on. During the race the anchor leg of one of talking teams passes the anchor of the other talking team to take the lead. As he passes he turns to the guy and points the baton at him.
Holy hell broke loose at the finish line with multiple full out fist fights going on.
In the late '80s at an indoor meet at OKC, a kid from Baylor punched a Rice runner in the face during the first leg of the 4x8. A couple of weeks later they ended up in the same heat of the 800 prelim at SWC indoors. The Rice runner stayed just ahead of the Baylor kid the entire way - earning the last slot to the finals and keeping the Baylor kid out.
Ran a 4-mile JUCO race outside of Portland in the early 80's. I was at the back of the lead pack of about 15 runners and we were right at about 4:50 for the first mile. A guy on our team calls a guy on the opposition a "...molester". There is a rather heated exchange with guys from both sides weighing in and then I see a few "round-houses" thrown. Nothing really connected but it made for some great entertainment from my seat. The amazing thing was that the pace didn't change a bit! One of the more memorable races from college.
