It seems like a lot of people on here almost want him to fail. Kind of a shame. All we do is bitch about how middle distance and distance runners get no publicity in this country. And now that one does, many seem to relish in the idea of him possibly not performing well in this meet.

I can tell you one thing for sure, our sport is going to be better off if goes out there and runs 3:53 and gets on Sports Center than if he runs 4:08 and everyone comes on here to ridicule him. Unfortunately, I don't think he is going to run 3:53. I do think he can run 3:58. I just hope everything works out.
