I'm not sure what absolute worst is, but one that I can not stand is the word "nosh".

Like why not just say eat?

When people use the word 'ask' as a noun instead of saying question.

"Before moving to the next topic, does anyone have an ask on what has been discussed?"

This is a business buzzword used by people that have a whole lot of letters and acronyms after their name on their e-mail signature.

It has to be anything a smug B-school grad would say, like "synergize my workflow" or "disrupt."

I'll second "ostensibly" and nominate "obsequious". I'll throw in "deference" as a close 3rd. I've heard these words used over and over by the wealthy lot to describe their clashy interactions with under classed groups.
