FloSports will succeed because of GenZ... GenZ doesn't visit LetsRun due to its toxic reputation.

The GenZ high schoolers will simply pay the money to watch the race, if interested, and there will be enough of them.

What annoys me about this situation is that they're trying to pull this on us just three days before the event. If this was done weeks ago they would have had time to iron out these glitches / miscommunications and hopefully reduce the amount of people accidentally charged like myself. We really shouldn't have to scramble for where to watch the national championships in our sport just three days out.

$19.99 for one race is not worth it

I'd probably pay $5 for one race access

You have misconstrued the complaints and criticisms discussed on this thread so badly that I have to wonder if you are even capable of reading and comprehending what has been posted.

Wrong. I guarantee that there are several posters here who would complain, regardless of the cost. Complaints about access, billing, technical difficulties, etc. are all smoke screens for the fact that nobody wants to admit they are spoiled and stingy.

Instead of questioning my intelligence, perhaps you should question why your knee-jerk reaction to my post was to take offense and attack me instead of debating the simple position that people are too cheap to pay for things nowadays.

Flotrack is ruining College Cross and Track and field it's really freaking sad f u Flotrack what a freaking joke now what maybe 20 people will watch instead of Thousands.

The NCAA could easily create this and take a loss on it as they have every other year. Do you know how much it costs to do a webcast? Less than $10,000 even if you are hiring a professional truck to do it. That's a drop in the bucket.

Aren't there like more 600 NCAA d1 teams counting men and women? So you could get each program to pay $20 and you'd have it covered easily as that's $12,000.

To be honest, if they wanted us to do it for FREE, I would take gladly have taken over the broadcast rights for this event and stream it for free. I'd do it as a loss leader. I'll still do it.

I'm not intellectually opposed to charging but I am deinitely opposed to exaggerations (some might say lies) about greater access being made in a press release.

This does the exact opposite of "bring it to a wider audience" and "improve the overall student-athlete experience." It used to be free and on tv. Then it was free and online. Now it's online and you have to pay up to $150 for the right to watch it.

I wish the NCAA would just say, "We wanted the money." Don't lie and BS us.

Having a toxic reputation probably increases letsruns site visits for high school kids.

HSers are not going to pay to watch this race. I didn't know sh** or really care about the NCAA before I got there. I'd watch the meet, but only cuz it was on TV already

Is there any other D1 College national championship that requires an internet subscription to watch?

I am planning on being in Terre Haute so I do not have a vested interest in this but it does not seem reasonable for the NCAA to announce this three days before there sight indicated it would be streamed for free.

Disagree with the analogy of it not being similar to espn that broadcasts several sports and championships. FloTrack has had very substandard broadcasts and commentators that are anything but insightful.

Having this come out three days before the event is the NCAA just saying we do not care about XC.
