This is the correct answer. The question of mileage comes up time and time again on these boards and the answer is always the same. Different runners require different training strategies to reach their potential. Some runners can race well at 5k-10k on relatively lower mileage with a higher proportion of the non-interval work done at quicker paces, whereas others need a higher volume at relatively slower paces for aerobic conditioning. It's not "one size fits all."
