The OP was trolling and for that I give props. Rupp doesn't need a degree. He will be taken care of by Nike for the rest of his life. Some college degrees are worthless like philosophy. The best investment isn't in a college degree,it is in greed of the almighty dollar. If you can develop greed for money you will find a way.

Disregarding the point that many have already brought up about jager actually competing for wisconsin for 1 year, there is a massive difference between not going to college and not competing in the NCAA.

Yeah I do, I knew him on a personal level. Doesn't matter where he ran or should have ran, he is mentally defeating and that's why he never amounted to anything in college besides freshman year or post collegiately.

Accreditation groups require courses to remain current and up to date. Course structures often change. Classes are dropped, significantly revised, and new classes offered.

Rupp mostly took online courses. The GPA average is higher, and work load is much higher. A 3.7x GPA is good but not that hot in that type of course.

Isn't Salazar prepping Rupp to take over NOP? That seems to be the intent. I can't image Salazar letting anyone else run his program--the Oregon Project.

College is a complete ripoff these days, a bubble industry founded on guaranteed federal loans to people with no credit and little concept of how deep the financial hole they're jumping into is. They are robbed blind. Even state schools are little more than diploma mills teaching them useless courses with little educational value other than to serve as a training certification for employers who will eventually hire only people with graduate degrees.

The bubble goes well beyond the "education" part with massive outlays for sports programs, frivolous architecture, and fancy landscaping. Countless jobs depend on mortgaging the future of today's kids.

Perhaps the most to blame are the employers who are too damn cheap to train their own workforce. Student loans have spoiled them rotten. It's time to end them and force those pigs to do their part.

I agree with most of your post. But what employers do is use a college degree as a screening tool. They used to give pre-employment tests, but now those are seen as racially biased so you just take some bland job and say you it requires a college degree.

That requirement frees you of a ton of headaches.

Also our HSs have been dumbed down and are sooooo terrible that we (collectively) have outsourced "real" teaching to colleges. A HS diploma simply means you made it to age 18 and you're breathing. It is worthless as a document indicating you have mastered any level of academic achievement.
