Ok super suspect as with all gold medalists.
From national championships which isn't that hard in the USA. She was beaten by minutes... But by USA riders who were not a factor in the Tt the Olympics. Her selection was sketchy but earned.
*Her result at nationals was comparable to getting lapped in a 10k on the track.
Then 8 weeks later you beat the world? Just saying if a track runner did that they would be crucified!
Kristen and Lance... might be related but not by marriage ...not by blood... But interesting. I believe she is amazing and I want to believe the hype, but damn that is a big turnaround in 2 months.
I'm still a huge fan of both of them. Lance is still a bad ass.... And his sister/wife/astronaut relative is still an amazing rider who defies age and dominate. I was entertained by both of them.
The Olympics brings out all the haters and I might be one of them. I still keep watching.
Kristin Armstrong was the one who lost to three other riders in the Olympic road race final about 500 meters she got caught by the three other drafting riders who would win the medals. Kristin could've of one if she'd only saved up one more energy pack 5000 meter before the end of the race. Had she had done that the medal contention would've been different.
This TT medal is her vindication. Nice race.

The only reason I might believe it is because it is womans cycling. Those aren't exactly the deepest fields so an extreme outlier might happen.
As far as 2 month turnarounds, stuff happens. For fun she never would have been named to a US track team (they left the time trial winner home) but obviously she justified the selection. And if she was doping, why not do it for the trials also? I find the theory that people just dope for the 6 weeks before the games a bit suspect. I would think almost all of them are doping year round and would think that looks a lot less suscpious on the biological profile than say a sudden injection of blood(does anyone still do that?)?
