You are aware from 1924-1965 we had hardly any immigration at all. Just 175,000 per year. And the policy specifically favored people from Northern and Western Europe.

The bottom line is that we do not have the resources to support the tidal wave of illegal immigrants rolling in. It is not a right to come to the USA. Stricter screening should happen, or in 10 years, a 25 minute commute will be 1 hour and 25 minutes. Its only going to get worse. Hillary supports a 550% increase in immigration.
I thank all veterans who served from 1945 and earlier for protecting my freedom even though I was born 15 years later.
What all the U.S. wars have been about since then are a different story.

It's about 10 minutes long, probably shorter than it's taken you to post on this thread, and I agree with the earlier poster that it's probably the most powerful speech we've seen in the last two weeks. It has absolutely nothing to do with Obama's brother or Obama (the kid died in Iraq during GWB's term). The parents were rightfully declaring they are as 'American' as silver spoon Donald Trump and have sacrificed more to this country than he has. I'll go out on a limb and say they've sacrificed more than any of us American born message board warriors posting from air conditioned offices.
In fact, all of us on this thread who were lucky enough to have never served should watch it again. Anyone dismissing what that family gave up and the 'American-ness' of immigrant families is hopefully trolling. It doesn't matter what side you are on because service in the military isn't a partisan issue, it's downright disrespectful to dump on anyone who went to battle to carry out political whims of officials we elected.
