I have no problem with what he said. Plus- he's right. Anyway, if you don't like reading his thoughts- then don't read his FB.
I don't think he's in denial. An 800 guy can round into shape with speed work. He's simply letting fans know where he is at training wise and that its not grounds to worry. There are letsrun prediction contests to win and Wheating would be a wise choice (please let me win this time).
Do pros, who rarely race, now don't do speed work.
