Not really. Only 4 times in NCAA history has the 5000m winner run 13:20s or better.

Willis looks like he is out for a jog in this video. And they were running pretty fast too! You can really tell the difference between a 4:00 miler and a 3:50 miler.
1. I remember watching Kate Murphy during her indoor season and thinking, "Man this girl is super-efficient and a mental beast...huge potential!"
2. Willis is the best pacer; really understands the "Wind 'em up " strategy, and carries them out past 1200.

looks like in the race video Will Lear covered the nike swoosh on his jersey with the race sticker. spikes and shorts still had the exposed swoosh though

Just won the Heps MVP.
Nice to see Awad bounce back after he displayed some of the worst sportsmanship I've ever seen after the Heps 5K. From the stands, we saw him rip off his shirt, punch bushes, and throw a chair. A childish temper tantrum from a senior in college.
Lost a lot of respect for him, and I was a big fan. Made even worse by the fact that if he had led an at-all respectable pace, he would've easily won (given that he was far and away the best runner in the field) and there would have been no chance for incidental contact. Not to mention the gross tactics that he and Rainero used throughout the race, and that he supposedly hit the Brown runner during the race.
As an Ivy League alum, I liked Tommy a lot before that race but I can't really respect him anymore.
Congrats to him on the time at this one though, that's damn fast.

Really? All we saw on the webcast is that he picked himself up and ran across the track to congratulate Rainero, which kind-of looked like about the *best* sportsmanship I've ever seen.
But if he did do what you said, can you really freaking blame him? Jesus, how would you react if you got stepped on and knocked down in your last conference race of your life? (One you firmly expected to win.)

I couldn't agree more, Rojo. It is absurd to me that Americans are interested in Americans. I mean, shouldn't we be hyper focused on the New Zealand Olympic team? How could we not be?

This is an international sport. Everyone is so clueless to these top guys who run in our races all the time. This was a great international race right under our noses.
