Doper Dennis Mitchell is again US relay coach

BECAUSE HE AND MAX SIEGEL ARE BUDDIES. That's it. Don't let anyone tell you any other bulls***.

The AAC pressed the national office on this issue and was promised at indoor nationals that Dennis was being removed (which is why Dennis resigned) and then they backed out of that promise and still found a way to keep him as relay coach anyway.

It's due to his relationship with Stephanie Hightower and Max Segal of the USATF.

What, in Mitchell’s mind, does it take for a perfect relay exchange?

“What doesn’t it take?” he said. “The girls are running at anywhere from 10 to 13 miles an hour, the guys are somewhere around 20. So there’s a lot of moving parts that happen when you’re going through a zone.”

Coach K, in WC's 2006 didnt even know the names of Greek players.

The last US relay coach (Drummond), who actually did a good job, is presently serving an 8-year ban for doping Tyson Gay. Is/was Mitchell Stephanie Hightower's boyfriend? That's been the story for some time.

I can't believe that somebody coaching at Texas A&M, Texas, Florida, or USC would not be willing to coach the relay team. But, then, that person would not be a friend of Stephanie.

To me, this type of move--after the negatives they got the last time they did this--is damaging to the USA brand, and the USOC should move to prohibit any coach with a prior doping positive from coaching in the Olympics.
