Someone else eclipsed that mark @ LVM in 2014.

His most impressive feat by far came in the 2005 race. Up until the 18 mile mark he was plodding along at a disappointing pace. Finally, while everyone else was hitting the wall, he caught his second wind and threw down a blistering 3:56 pace for a full 8.2 miles. That's gotta be some kind of record.
FYI, they screwed up the pace calculation in for 18M in the 2005 results, and listed it in the wrong order after the half marathon checkpoint. Everyone else's results show the same error, but their overall splits all make sense unlike our cheater's.
Nevermind, seems that 18M time was screwed up for everyone, and lots of people didn't register times at the 20M mat. Based on the half marathon split the 2005 race at least seems plausible.

But we already convicted him and executed him. Now what are we supposed to do?
This is a great example of how to both cheat and get away with it..UNTIL NOW!
Great job, OP.

Just like Rossi, Harrisburg Marathon woman and heaps of others. What is it with these people?

For real, Boston isn't that great.

The problem is they are stealing spots from people who trained hard to earn them. And the race directors who fail to examine unrealistic splits are also failing the running community as a whole.
I would think it wouldn't be that to have a program check for missed mats and irregular splits. The #s are all there to be analyzed.

It's pretty obvious he's been cheating the last five years or so. All I'm saying is it's plausible he had a couple legit finishes a decade ago.
In 2013 and 2014, it looks like he cut the course twice: Once between the 10K and 15K mats and again before mile 15.
10K-15K split in 2013: 16:09
same split in 2014: 16:06
Probably never turns off of M St and cuts out about 3/4 of mile 6.
I would honestly shake this guys hand if he says "It was a good run. Can't believe you didn't catch me earlier."
The guy is good.
2015 10k to 15k split: 14:33
Missed mats at 25k and 30k
2014 10k to 15k split: 16:06
Missed mats at 25k and 30k
2013 10k to 15k split: 16:09
Missed mats at 25k and 30k

Ummm, I know this isn't the Greg Price we're talking about, but did anyone read this article and thought how unreal it is? Yet another crazy.
Yes. Even a greater fool of grandeur. What the hell is a pacing partner? How does a dough boy even pace or be a water boy to Bob Kennedy? That is when he broke 13 for 5000.
Has anyone actually emailed the MCM and Boston yet?

Yes. I laughed out loud. How many lies do you think are in that one article? And if he's lying at that level I'd bet he's embezzling a whole lot of that donated money. I know, I know, pure speculation.

Where's Doubler when you need him?
http://marathoncheat.blogspot.com.au/The other Greg Price. Can anyone verify this? The fanny pack does give it away but he claims he almost made the Olympic team. Read more here. Forget the MCM cheater. This story is even more interesting.
