As a high schooler, I am looking to accomplish a 930 mile by senior year. I am looking at it as a long term goal but want to know the progressions that I should reach while on my way to accomplishing this goal. Please begin with freshman times to senior times in the 1 mile and two mile if you can. Thanks alot.
You'd be surprised at how rapid you can drop your times, and how far you can go if you just stick with it.

those are both impressive times. A more realistic goal would be aorund 930 tho for me. ANy other time progressions that end up aruond 930 ish?

A funny thing often happens along the way: performance happens, goals change. What seems to be a great goal for you today, might become a tempo run in the future. Good luck.

damn...were you born fast or sumthin?
good luck this year. congrats on AA
and malmo is right, keep plugging and you never know what goals you surpass. but it is good to keep that goal in mind. keep you driving towards it.
Thanks both of you. Any others have time progressions?

senior: 51., 1:57, 4:23 in., 9:33 in. (slower outdoors)
this is what happens when you have a high school coach who has never heard of a fartlek or tempo run and hammers 200s and 400s on the track continuosly.
went on to have a much better college career.

9- no track
10- 2:03--4:32
11- 1:57--4:23
12- 1:56--4:15
mile and 2 mile times
10th grade 5:12/10:40
11th grade 4:47/10:00
12th grade 4:27/9:33
After XC my junior year we moved from Philly area to KC area, went from crappy team to prerennial top state finisher in XC. Little training with no proper focus to program with lots of miles/fartlek/plenty of competition.
Thank god my Dad got transferred for work or I may never have broke 10:00 in HS.

wow lots of people blowing there own horns here, i see lots of really really fast hs prs, not 930 prs. personally i feel 1015 for a fresh, could, within 4 yrs of decent training run 930 i averaged 25mpw in high school and had a just over a 930 pr, i feel with a few more miles i would have run a bit faster
You mean 11:15? not 10 15...1015 for a frosh would be great.
frosh: 4:49 11:07
soph: 4:31 9:49
junior: 4:21 9:13
Everyone gets there on their own schedule. Don't forget that and good luck.
I was never a speedster, so I had to run a lot of miles from the very beginning just to keep the pace with my peers.
Frosh- did not run- played soccer and did mtb
Soph: 4:46 and 9:59
Junior: 4:40 and 9:47
Senior: 4:32 and 9:31
All on 80+miles a week, during the summer of my junior-senior year I ran over 100mpw. Never got injured in high school- and only injuries I got were ITB syndrom from running too much hill sprints during college.Though my track times were nothing more than average, I used to win a lot in xc. My advice is- run a lot from high school on, otherwise you'll burn in the college system.
