according to this calculator:
the 100m is worth 10.21 with no wind, but if you give him about 1.0 m/s tailwind, he'd be at 10.15. that's worth an extra 19 points, for just +1.0 m/s, not even the allowable +4.0 m/s (which would give about 10.02 = 51 pts)
there was a thread about Taylor's 18.21 by ventolin about adjusting for wind in the jumps, which i tried to find but couldnt. to simplify things, i'll do a basic calculation. lets say ashton was running 10 m/s when he jumped. if a 1.0 tailwind gave him about 0.05sec in the 100, that means he maybe would run a speed of 10.05 m/s. 10.05/10.00= 1.005. ventolin had some explanation of raising that to the 2nd power because the wind slows you twice, so i'll do the calc twice for both options. 1.005^2 = 1.010.

realized also that 10.05/10.0 is wrong. need to subtract reaction time because the wind doesn't effect the reaction! from his 100m, looked it up, his reaction was 0.168. so that's 9.882 (10.05-0.168) which is 10.12 m/s over 100m/(10- 0.168) = 10.17
new calculation is 10.12/10.17 = 1.00508 (not very different but worth it for science) if you square it you get 1.01020.
multiply those factors by his LJ performance of 7.88 and you get 7.92 and 7.96 using the ventolin factor of 2. it seems conservative to me, i would've thought a 1.0 would give you a better result, but oh well.
7.92 is an extra 10 pts, 7.96 is an extra 20.
so 19 points from a +1.0 m/s in the 100m, and 15 pts from the LJ, that just leaves 110mH. let's save me some time and ignore the hurdles. 100/110*13.69 = 12.445, plugged into the calculator i found gives 12.42 for 0.0 wind, then a 1.0 tailwind give him 12.32 * 110/100 = 13.55
13.55 gives him an extra 18 points.
19+15+18= 51 points. new score of 9096. a little more wind from the 1.0 i gave him and he's got 9100.
conclusion:
his 9045 was worth 9096 with +1.0 winds for 110H, LJ, and 100m
i'm not gonna redo the calculations for 2.0 wind, whihc is the max allowable AVERAGE for the 3 events of the 10. you can have up to 4.0 wind for any of those 3 events, but the average must not exceed 2.0.

his PR is 5.40 so the 5.20 wasn't that great for him. he got close at 5.30. i doubt many good vaulters have 100m/LJ times other than from high school, but they are way more technically proficient than eaton, so even his extra speed doesn't mean he can vault as well.
