The real "shocker" would be if you were even remotely serious and not trolling. Farah doesn't medal only if he falls. True wins only if 4 of the top guys falls.

At this point it would be extremely silly to bet against Mo Farah. Someone could finally force him to come from behind and not let him control the last lap or 2, but...that's unlikely, and it very well might not even matter if that happens (but it's the other contenders' only shot).

Americans? After watching our performances so far, I'd be surprised if one of ours cracks the top 5. But one of them might. Not sure who has the best shot. I'd say Rupp, but not sure if the 10k took too much out of him. He usually doesn't look that great in the 5 after running the 10 at OG's or WC's. I'll go: True 5th, Rupp 6th, Hill 8th.

Rupp is a pro and even coming off of the 10000m, he always places well. But he doesn't seem to have that pop at the end this year, so I pick him out of the medals. Ben True looked strong in the prelim. He won NY DL 5000m in a kicker's race in the heat. He was 6th at World XC, the highest American finish in a long time for a man in the senior race. I give him a good shot at 3-4.

Wow, majority thinking Rupp would be a mid packer? What, because he basically began his season as USA's and was rusty coming into worlds? Every race helps him at this point. I can see how some thought True might beat him if both were in the top 6, but some seem to think True has absolutely overtaken Rupp at 5K. That hasn't happened yet. Close maybe, but for now Rupp has the edge even off a double.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rupp has some great races in the remainder of Diamond League. People need to put things into context. Rupp had a wee bit of pressure/stress this summer from the whole accusation thing no? Under race probably to avoid the controversy and is finally getting race sharp. There is a 5000 in Brussels.
