I was a week away from 9 years straight without missing a day, when I got stung my a bee on my foot and had an alergic reaction.
It was actually the best thing that could ever happen to my running in that it showed me I could take a day off and recover and not get all wiggy about losing fitness.
Getting caught up in long running streaks never really helps you improve or get into better shape.
It can sometimes be more of a mind-f*ck then anything else.
