Became recognized by the RRCA as an outstanding volunteer for 2000+ volunteer hours to the running community

Successfully hired a club manager

Doubled the size of our facebook page

Balanced the clubs budget

Dude, thanks for making this thread about you. I obviously clicked on it to read about this marathon cheater, but now I'm getting to learn about some random guy's eagle scout project.

Now it sounds like you have some local contacts in the area of this marathon, so how about you either funnel some insider updates/information our way or just PLEASE SHUT THE HELL UP.

Just to be clear, I was not personally calling anyone a redneck etc., nor was I in any way implying her local area has an unusual amount of dumb people as compared to any other area of the world - as personally have never been to the Chattanooga area. I think it's likely that 25% of people would believe her story almost anywhere. The reason people like her lie and cheat is that they know there are a lot of gullible people out there and they can get away with it. Lance Armstrong lied for years when it was painfully obvious he was using drugs and he had a huge following of believers. Even when he admitted cheating people didn't want to believe he was cheating. It's just an interesting, albeit disturbing, human trait - in that people will go to extraordinary lengths to believe exactly what they want to believe. It's probably deeply rooted in fear and insecurity.

She sent me a Facebook message wanting to volunteer with our club last year. I invited her to come help, we started to get to know each other and now we are married...

To keep this thread on topic the first event she volunteered at was this race in 2013.

Okay about the race...In years past we've had 30 km splits for this race. I'm surprised this has not been brought up yet.
