Good point. I guess I was commenting more on Romo and Murray being somewhat injury prone. And I thought the defense would be crap without Sean Lee but they have done fine without him. I like the way Lee plays. He is fun to watch. He seems to come up big just when they need it.

Ha, you are definitely mad. It's fine to defend your team and your quarterback, but you gotta be realistic. Romo always blows it in the end. No one has to hope on it, they can bank on it.

Here's a question - this is Romo's 9th season as the starter in Dallas. Dallas hasn't won a Super Bowl in that time, so that means there have been 8 elimination game losses, either in the post season or an elimination game that caused them to miss the playoffs. In those 8 games, have there been any where the general consensus was "Romo played excellent but you can pin the loss on the rest of the team"? I genuinely don't know, but figure you might since you are a Cowboys fan. I just feel like he always blows it with a mistake in the crucial moment or just general suckiness throughout the whole game. Was there an elimination game where they lost despite his awesome performance?

Romo is an easy target but in those elimination games whether it was a playoff or regular season game the Cowboys wouldn't have even made it where they did w/o Romo. There was no balance, it was all Romo and the team lived or died with Romo. Now that there is a running game and a decent defense Romo is no longer needed to carry the team. That's a huge difference.

There are a lot of great QBs playing now that will never sniff a Super Bowl. Peyton has lost more big games than he has won. He should have won five super bowls but since he won only one he gets a pass? Jim Kelly sucked because he lost four Super Bowls? Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson were all world QB's because they won a SB?

I'm not planning on a super bowl party because I know how hard it is for any team to win a super bowl. No one expected anything more than 7-9 or 8-8 and the game with Seattle wasn't as close as the score. They are 5-1 which is the best record in the NFL. What do you expect a Cowboy fan to do, bitch about how bad our record is?

Over at Blogging the Boys, they had a statistical analysis of Tony Romo by quarter. In the 4th quarter, he has a QB rating among the best ever... somewhere over 110, as I recall. But in the last four minutes of the game, it dropped to below average.

The point is that Romo's bad plays tend to come disproportionately in the last four minutes. Some were bad decisions. Some were bad luck. The big INT last season came when the left guard stepped on his foot as he was throwing.

Obviously they looked good yesterday, but the Eagles benefited from the Giants' o-line completed breaking down. Btw, when you can put up 30 points a game, you don't need a great defense, but what do you do when you play a team that can also out up 30 points. The Eagles need a way not to have their defense on the field for so long.

Romo doesn't even have to play that great for them to win games, because Cowboys have an awesome O-line & defense & that's what wins championships. As yesterday showed you can make several huge errors (blocked punt for a TD, fumble punt return, fumble snap) & still win big games versus great teams when you have the above.

Heres the deal, the Cowboys are for real and they are the best team in the league. The reason is because their offensive line is just manhandling every opponent that comes in their way. They run it down their opponent's throat and the opponent can't do anything about it. Romo has all day to throw and when he needs to do he buys time and makes you pay like he did on that 3rd and 20. Their defense is playing smash style football. This is how you win championships. Not saying they will because it is week 6 but until someone can stop them, they will continue to just dominate on the line of scrimmage and run away from their opponent, literally.

The Cowboys completely dominated the line of scrimmage. 23 first downs to 9. Over 37 minutes time of possession. This was a game where they imposed their will on the Seahawks.

If the Seahawks had managed to win with the turnovers, blocked punts, etc. then it could truly be said that Seattle didn't win the game as much as Dallas lost it. To say the reverse is simply ignorance.

Chip Kelly's offense is designed to score quickly; time of possession is not the goal.

True but if your defense sucks then more time on the field because your offense doesn't have long drives isn't a good thing. Balance is the key. Dallas always had a decent offense but a crappy D, a balanced team is a better team.
