The British announcer, breaking from the form usually set by his compatriots, is either drunk or completely stupid. He has said a load of dumb things already, but the worst is probably saying that a 16:26 5K split is "barely under 34:00 pace." If you can't do basic math on the fly, DO NOT BE AN ANNOUNCER OF DISTANCE RACES.
Hastings made a move just after 5K and is leading with four others at 7K (22:52) Hasay, Conley, Bates, and Bottorf with her.
Conley with a big move around 6 to go. Her, Hasay, and Hastings away. Hasay looks like she will take this for her first US title.
