Lmao. Now GTFO you stupid douche. You truly suck and any sensible mod would have banned you eight ways from Sunday by now. Why your dumbaszery is tolerated is beyond me.

BOOM!
... and 90% chance he gets it if the leaders hit 8k in 21:40 or less.
...
Pretty much got that one.
I don't know why people keep doubting Rupp so much, especially in time trials. I don't bet on him to win very often at 5k, and to a lesser extent 10k; but when news comes out about Rupp going after something he usually gets it or at worst is VERY close.
Everybody on this board who said he wouldnt do it kinda looks stupid right now
god i'm so stupid...
Epic flail, I mean Fail
Enjoy eating that humble pie...all of you boys. Hey! Group photo?! We'll put you on the black screen with Galen and that big digital clock that reads "26:44.36 AR."

Agreed. Why not risk in this one since it was really unlikely he would lose even if he blew up going from 5 km out.

Are you going for the record for dumbest comments in the history of this board? You're way out in front

NotAustin18 wrote:I agree, he won't break 26:48. Sometimes athletes have that one special race that is like an outlier of their career and they never run close ever again. For Solinsky it was his 2659. For Rupp his 2648. For Alan Webb it was his 3:46.91 mile.
The thing is if you run long enough you just get that special day where the heavens align and God gives you strength and everything goes perfect. But its just that, that ONE special day. Rupp will never break 27 again. Suck it up and accept it and carry on.
Was his 26:48 really better than a 7:30, 8:07 or 13:01 indoors? Better than a 12:58 for 3rd at PRE? Better than a silver medal at the olympics? I'd say it's right in line and not an outlier. I'm sure Ventolin can give us some equivalents.
The biggest factor for 10K is opportunity. There are just not many chances to run a good 10000 these days. Partly because Bekele knocked it out of the park and the chances for setting a WR are slim-none so there is not as much motivation to set up good 10,000 when people have no shot of seeing a WR or even close to it. Partly because guys like Rupp and Farah, who can run under 26:40 don't chase a fast 10K in a championship year because they view the championship as the most important.
There is no indication that Rupp is not as good, if not much better than 2011. He just hasn't raced in a fast 10000 since then. In fact, this will be the fastest 10000 he's raced in since 2011.
This. He just ran 26:44 WELL within himself in his second race of the season. Lookout 5k AR.

I rather agree.
He was crazy full of run that race. I always gets the impression Rupp never quite feels like THE big boy in the race, and isn't willing to make any moves that feel truly bold to him.
I might be as stoopid as you suggest, and a peabrain and a moron, but I agree with you here, Vent .. Rupp clearly has a good bit left in the tank .. maybe not 15 seconds, but that's just semantics. I'd have liked to see him run harder, which he's clearly capable of.
I think sometimes he/Mo/Al Sal should let go of the 'must win the race' approach, and go for a really hot time as the main priority. I think Al's just still hung up about what happened when Solinsky beat Rupp, and is now scared of being beaten when he thinks his guys should win.

We are all expecting you to commit ritual suicide now. I bet someone is willing to help if you don´t have the guts to do it yourself.
