Hall doing this doesn't come as a huge surprise for those who pay attention.

She comes from a mixed racial background and has fantastic genetics. She struggled with injury early in her career at Texas, but it's not a surprise that this type of genetic talent has now developed the ability to handle the miles and big performances will now be the norm provided she can stay healthy.

Obviously, a major talent, whatever gibberish others may type here. If you run 15:19 with a 63 second pr, it is very unlikely that you will not continue to drop time, so a definite chance at sub 15 as a pro, which would put her among the best Americans ever.

Has there ever been a time with nearly this # of sub 15:30 collegians as in recent years?

So glad to see Marielle doing so well. I've been a fan of hers since she was in high school. She had a breakout year in XC and now following it up nicely. Hope she can make the transition to a successful pro career.
