I'm surprised to see how many of you can't believe the best Ethiopian female could be this fast. She is still 10 seconds away from the REAL 3000m record of 8:06 by Junxia. Indoor tracks are now arguably faster than outdoor tracks too.

She comes from the land of the best runners and her older sister is the best female Ethiopian runner of the past decade.

I would expect her to be breaking WRs back to back weekends, that is just how fitness works, especially for such a short race of 4 and 8:00 respecively. An all-out 4:00 effort doesn't take a month to recover from.

What do you mean by "embarrassing day for t&f?" now she is a cheater when she achieves what she has trained for? She is in the same boat as Galen Rupp breaking 2 American records back to back. The difference is that she is a little tougher that she is going for world records. If you are in the form to break world record in 1500m and you are mid-d runner, I think you should be able to break records within your distance! If you call/question her performance, then you automatically question Rupp. Simple! May the strong athletes continue achieving their goals and may the haters keep hating!
