Well, byu brings in lots of preteens to scout for potential wives. They get jiggy in their magic underwear.
Some people can party hard and run well. When you're in your teens and even twenties, you can get away with this.
I saw some runners in D2 , who met some girls the night before a conference meet, "hook up" party all night, and two of the three guys ran pr's.
As this website's authority on drinking hard and training hard (though I can't speak to racing hard, or doing well in races), I think you guys need to differentiate between "partying hard" and "being a bunch of losers who think dressing up in costumes and playing 6 cup beer pong until you go to bed early so you can get up the next morning for your long run."
If your college experience didn't involve double digit stress fractures and a permanent degradation of your tooth enamel due to alcohol induced vomiting, you simply don't belong in this discussion.
Now I will resume wandering around my old campus looking for my ex boyfriends.

Lubbock, Texas 2009: Texas Tech hosted Big 12 Outdoors, and my roommate and I threw a party. Somehow we were able to spread word to the other schools without too much suspicion. One school's distance squad needed a ride, so my gf and I picked them up from their hotel. These guys were elite, so I was pretty willing to go lengths to get them there. It's all about the story right? People showed. 50-60 people (15-20 big 12 athletes). Some "big name" folks were having fun with all of us goons. We had pong, foosball, arcade basketball, DJ. Everyone made it home safe, and I hadn't heard word on anyone getting in trouble. Absolutely one of my favorite memories of being an idiot, breaking the rules, and being a college kid.
Now excuse me, my mother has said my snack is ready.
