Sage Canaday signs with Hoka

Ok, so you guys like them, but how do they compare when running fast, as compared to your other shoes? That's great they work for recovery, but it comes down to results.

does Sage ever go fanny packin'?

I've never heard of Sage, but I've heard of Max.

They both went to Cornell and live or grew up in Oregon. Canaday has better results for the most part. This list is probably incomplete.

Speedgoat 50K: Canaday 1st, King 4th (+21 min)

Lake Sonoma 50M: Canaday 1st, King 3rd (+19 min)

2012

UROC 50M: King 1st, Canaday 2nd (+15 min)

Chuckanut 50K: Canaday 2nd (lost 8 min due to wrong turn), King 36th (+41 min)

Mt. Washington Road Race: Canaday 1st, King 8th (+4 min)

Olympic Marathon Trials: King 19th, Canaday 43rd (+ 4 min)

Scott is a better company so I was still shocked to see sage leave. Hoka is kinda ugly and gear is pretty crap. Never seen anyone actually run fast who runs for them. Maybe things will change with him.

What? hahaha. I've never worn Hokas and have no intention, but saying they dont have any fast runners is just ignorant.

Dave Mackey just set the quad dipsea course record wearing hokas.

Sage posted a 3 mile marathon pace run this morning...5:20 pace wearing his Hokas.
