Great introduction of the top runners.

This isn't meant to bash Hall, but how does anyone who watches running and listens to interviews possibly like Ryan Hall more than Meb? It's such a damn shame Hall's skin color makes him so much more visible to advertisers. Meb's personality is so much better.

Be patient. Nothing too significant happens until the 20 mile mark anyway.

I\'ve seen way more positives from this live coverage than I have negatives. When live, there are going to be a couple mistakes, but top of the screen, we have a running leaderboad.

They\'ve shown NYC Marathon history. They\'ve highlighted the Majors Title. The opening segment was great.

The beginning of the race is such a scene of people that as much as you want to see the men run the first half mile, its too big of a spectacle.

How much have Mebs chances improved with the race conditions being awful? I think he has a much better shot

5:27 6th mile = gained another 8 seconds. Now 2:08 up.

Can't rule out S. Kiprotich with all the $$ on the line. Plus his ballsy finish in Moscow putting Desisa to bed was impressive.

Mutai is anxious in the men's race. Interesting, he's got no hat or gloves. Did they say on ESPn what the mile was? We didn't start our watch. We found a watch on the scrren maybe 15 seconds later and it was 602 so I'd say 545?
