Same story as Kimetto.

Usually it involves a big dog (like Mutai for Kimetto) bringing them into a group with their own cash (basically housing and feeding them) and then pointing them to their own management if they are looking good in training and local races.

For a given European road race there are numerous guys who are good to go. Someone vouching for them gets them on the plane and gets the agent to push for them to get a spot on the line. Obviously the agent wants a good bet, and they depend on their ears on the ground for good information.

No idea how someone like Kimetto puts down the shovel in his late 20s and convinces Mutai to take him in. Maybe they knew each other from racing years before. Someone could ask easily enough.

But, um, I'm pretty sure an agent can not be jailed for their client taking drugs, sometimes with a physician's prescription.

Do you think that Robert Downey Jr's agent should be charged and jailed for Downey's cocaine use? Should Michael Vick's agent be charged for his dog fighting?

Even if the IAAF had any legal jurisdiction whatsoever (which it doesn't, duh) this would be illogical.

No, let's continue to give everyone from third-world countries an endless supply of free passes because it is racist, xenophobic, and not politically correct to even consider the possibility that greatness in distance running by a small portion of the world from a somewhat isolated area is due to anything other than hard work. It would be completely rediculous and incomprehensible that drugs (and inaccurate birth records at the junior level) could be related. Why be suspicious of people that burst onto the running scene, especially those who don't merely run fast or place well, but those who run near world record times out of nowhere? Don't even mention the possibility of cheating in any form because it is simply a fact that good quality training, combined with upbringing and competition push them to the top, while top runners from other countries sit on their lazy a**es all day. Maybe if others got out and trained hard day in and day out through pain and suffering they too could be decent(Hopefully you realize this is sarcasm). Seriously, when does it stop. When do we take a stand and at least address the possibility of abuses within the system? Do people really believe that European, Asian, and American countries together can only produce one or two runners(on a terrific day) that run within a few minutes of the leaders at major races, racing to the line with the second and third tier Africans. Also, those top non-Africans seem to only have one or two of those performances while it seems the "competition" is doing it nearly every few weekends. The paces being run by the lead packs are getting to be rediculous. If it was one stud, I would be suspicious, but when the whole front group is blazing I can't take it seriously. When due process goes out the window, I suppose.

If there's evidence in the supply chain, then yes, ban them. Take money away from them. But it can't be without substantiation.

More races should go to US citizens only pay day.

A certain amount of luster will be lost, but that will be balanced by a hefty upswing of interest in the races. Simply, US citizens racing one another is of greater interest to US spectators than a dozen doped up foreigners, no matter how fast they run.

With the proliferation of drug performances, the sport is going down hill rapidly. We are beginning to enter the land of cycling - if we are not already there.

Are we wrong to put a greater emphasis on helping the US runner? Even if you object to that, you still have to look at a sport that is beginning to be inundated by more and more suspicious athletes.

This whole Kenyan running thing lately reminds me of 1980's weightlifting, or even current days weight lifting for women in China, where they all look like men.

Kenyan athletes are getting busted left and right yet we're turning a blind eye.

They're the Jamaicans of long distance running.

Yes because, despite its minority representation in the global picture, the world is all about the US, and catering to US spectators. What's missing in everyone's perspective is that US citizens deserve more money, despite their lack of performances, even when compared to their own previous generations.Drug proliferation has been around for decades. Your post fails for many reasons, way beyond your ability to use a spell checker. The main failure is lack of evidence and substance to form a basis for reasoning.

What do you suggest we should do? Increase testing? The IAAF introduced out of competition EPO testing in 2003. In 2003, "urine" test" existed for EPO (so while blood testing is important, urine testing is also significant). The IAAF introduced the bio-passport system in 2010. What is the next step, for you?

Why do you think no one is taking a stand? Do you really think that global organizations like the IAAF and WADA are not target testing Kenyans and Ethiopians? Why do you think the responsible bodies are giving them free passes?

This is HUGE? Could be earth shattering? "Volare Sports" "manages" "all" of the biggest names at the moment?Could be earth shattering, but could also be a non-event.
