Albertos mission for NOP is to get medals in Games. This means his runners need to be able to run extremely fast last laps. To do this they need to train extremely intensely at certain parts of the year. Mo and Galen have finished sessions with repeat 400s in under 52 seconds. This is very high risk injury wise and a lot of the key focus on the training programme concerns recovery and injury prevention . This intensity involves risk but it needs to be taken if the goals are to be achieved. Now some runners have left the project because they could not cope with intensity as it resulted in consistent niggles and injuries even with the excellent back up . Why do I believe this ? Because I have spoken to him in depth about it and it made perfect sense. A lot of people much prefer conspiracy theories and think there must be cheating and gagging orders going on. Sometimes it's just a lot simpler.

The reality could be much more straightforward.
Adam and Kara were doing the same things as other NOP runners, regardless of the fact, whether it is PED, yet undetectable drugs, or still legal methods (like using autologous blood transfusions was completely legal up to mid 80's - something along those lines).
There is no gag order, or contract. That would be a legal nonsense. It might be a simple auto-protection silence. Who wants to tarnish his/her best performances late in their career, or after retirement, especially if they could ride on the past performances long into their retirement?
Why Gouchers left then? They weren't getting the best stuff, like the new shining stars...
For the inspiration- read Hamilton's book (Secret race), and you will understand that not verybody in the leite team is allowed to be on the best stuff. Then it creates tension and resentment.
If there wasn't for double bust of Hamilton, he would never reveal the details of doping and receiving the much wanted white paper bags for the super elites. Why would running be any different from cycling?

Adam and Kara left when they realized they couldn't be at the top level anymore. Is it possible NOP athletes are taking drugs and also sign confidential agreements. sure. The problem is that Kara is so hot and continues to make Nike and her family money. Thus she and Adam are not going to give up that gravy train just for busting Salazar.

I think you are right on the money and it only goes to further my idea that if Nike is paying the bills why would the Gouchers say anything.
