Monty, some people are just perennial haters and idiots.

Its now been at least 5 yrs since people have been saying " .....Jordan was right there...now if she can just develop her kick..". Not gonna happen folks. Once a carthorse.

The marathon is her only hope I think. Even women's 10k needs some last lap speed, unless you have markedly superior strength to everyone else, which at top level JH never will have unless 'helped'.

I am not sure how anyone could not be impressed with the way Jordan ran. Keep in mind that she is coming off of a long NCAA season and has run more 10ks in a shorter span than I have ever seen. Also, in her first DL race, she ran with confidence and like a pro.

The field, as well as most of the meet, was watered down. Was more of a US-Canada-GBR meet. Let's wait and see what happens in Moscow.

You can only race those who are available on the day.

As someone else pointed out, Moscow isn't about Moscow for Jordan, everything is about Rio. Experience, the future.

Jordan will place in the top five at the world championships. It would not surprise me if she medaled. Trust me. And next year after a rest? Jesus almighty watch out! This kid is fantastic folks. That's all I can say.

With what this woman has accomplished this year she belongs in a Geico commercial.

Long, long season for Jordan. Amazingly she continues to improve and impress. I think she'll do well at Worlds. I predict top five.

I was impressed by her race and how she ran. 3000 isn't really her distance either. Also impressed by Rowbury.

That's a big IF. If it's gonna happen, it better be in the next year or two, or else I doubt it will ever happen. She will be "world class" in the sense that she will be anywhere from 4th to 7th, but without a kick, I can't help but think the best color medal for her at a world level will be bronze, and even that will be tough to get.

surely she should really have the kick already? I can see her running well but never winning medals as she will be blown away by the speedy Kenyans and Ethiopians -there is no realism re her career from some of the people on here - she's only just managed a decent 3km!

Interesting fact on her: at age 14 she was faster over 1500m as a 13 old Sebastian Coe! (4:28.6 and 4:31.8)

She is young, but, it's not as if she just recently took up the sport. I'm a big fan, but, I think we should be realistic. This race indicates she should be able to break 31:30. Given that, a top 10 finish for her would be great. Also, given that, I will be surprised if she ever is a medal contender at the WC or OG - unless it turns out that the womens' 10k is as dirty as the men's 100, and, she is not, herself, one of the juicers.

I would take no kick and a spot at the World Championships any day over my less than stellar career. Nothing wrong with pointing out that Hasay lacks a kick, but some of her critics seem to think she should hang it up due to her lack of finishing speed. When it's all said and done, 99% of the Letsrun peanut gallery would trade Hasay's running career for their own in a heartbeat.

For the past 8 years, Hasay has been under the microscope and scrutinized more than most runners will be for an entire career and she's only been a pro for about a month now. Nike was smart to sign her - she's full of class and humility.
