Just running fast or placing high will not cut it. Jason is going to have to learn to market himself better like Cox or Dean or get big time agent/coach like Salazar who has some pull. Like it or not it is just the way world works.

There's an article that states he trains with a group on occasion and has workout and scheduling advice from friends, coaches, Ritz et al...

I think he realizes that at his stature he is always close to injury so he takes training from a holistic standpoint, ever evolving instead of, "listening" to a coach that isn't himself.

A sponsorship for him would be cool, if at least to show the guy some respect.

Deers are fast as hell. Put hartman in some deer shoes and the dude's gonna fly. duh.

I can't believe that Saucony wouldn't step up and sign him. Here's a thought, since JH lives in Boulder you would think Newton would step to the plate and offer him something. JH is a much more consistent runner than Cabada.

yuki would only draw the japanese market. realize a lot of asian countries do not like the japanese because of the wars. look up the rape of nanking in china as well as what they did to the koreans.

hartmann would be a better runner to sign from a marketing perspective.

I like Hartmann, basically becasuse he's different, he's a big powerful guy and he is built like a lot more men than the stick thin shorties like Ritz and co... he is far more normal than most of these anorexic midgets we see at the front of marathon majors. For me Puma would be a perfect fit, they are trying to re-establish themselves in the running market, they have a guy here who stands out not only in stature but in performances too. Take a punt on him.

Looking at hartman's twitter feed, he's certainly networking. Retweeting mary wittenberg, kimbia athletics, josh cox etc. I guess it can't hurt.

There is something unusual about this story that no company hasn't given him a contract or he hasn't accepted an offer.

It amazes me that no one picks him up. Most of us recreational runners can relate to a guy like Hartman. We all train ourselves.

Come on "Altra Running". Come on "Merrell". You guys need a inspiring underdog face for your products.
