I think if Finn ran more evenly, she's close to 16:10. If she's healthy and runs evenly, yeah, 15:55-16:02, somewhere in there.

Who can say for sure as I see nothing posted on Dyestat
and although a bit inconsistent, she has a fantastic engine and foot speed. I have grown weary of Finn and all of her excuses. Here are a few of the most recent: USATF juniors 5k-dehydration, Nike Elite mile at Hayward where she finished nearly last-"I'm not a miler", MSU Spartan Elite cross race-lost to Julia Bos and later complained of having a virus and iron deficiency, Footlocker midwest regional-a virus she didn't know she had until during the race.....how about that Rohrer and others began to bury her in the final K, GVSU Gazelle Elite mile in February-not sure what her excuse was at this one but lost to both Meier sisters which was expected, NBIN 5k-lost to Frazier- virus again and sinus infection.
Finn is a great talent but enough with the excuses!
Finn is a free spirit, and this is an admirable quality. She goes out fast because she damn-well feels like going out fast. She is not temperate in what she says either, but she can be reflective on her comments about herself and has a self-deprecating humor. Admire this kid. Michigan may be too staid for her -- and this comes from an alum.

What exactly is it that you want her to say when she is asked "what happened to you out there? Tell us about your race"?
Maybe the reason Finn gets sick a lot is because she trains on the edge of what she can do. Elite athlete training is very taxing on the body and makes athletes very susceptible to sickness.
