I don't know what the hell you are asking. If you are asking if VO2 will increase as speeds increase, then most likely yes...to a point. They could race at 80% MHR until the last 200m and go anaerobic, the winner being the one with the best kick (Komen?) Would win though there is no telling if he has the highest VO2 max. Killian Jornet has the highest VO2 max I have ever heard reported, yet any of you guys that ran D1 XC or distance could likely beat him at 3200 even if you VO2 max is 20ml/kg/min less. That is the point and extent of my input here. VO2 max cannot be predicted by 3200m or any distance performance.
