It seems to me that a majority of the women's current WR's are not going to be broken anytime soon. That 4x100 meter record was broken, but it was a team effort, something that the "doped to the gills" East German were not as skilled at. The following records will not be broken:
1. 10.49 100m. Flo Jo was doped to the gills & it was also wind aided. This is probably the record that has no chance to ever be broken.
2. 200m - 21.34. This one will be extremely difficult if not impossible to beat. In this day & age, you can't be doped up like Flo Jo was, so it is going to be hard to get to this level. A small chance this gets broken, but not by anyone currently running.
3. 47.60 - 400m. I have no idea why this record is still in the books. Documents were recovered that clearly implicated Marita Koch for doping & that should be enough to strike this record. Koch was doped to the gills &, again, nobody will be able to do that again. No chance this record ever gets broken.
4. 1:53.28 by Kratochvilova. Again - she was on so many drugs she was basically a man. The fact that anyone has come this close to the WR is alarming. Anyone who approaches that record will either have to be a man; or have to be on so many drugs that they will get busted. Again - not in our lifetime & why this record is not stricken from the books is beyond me.
5. 10,000m - 29:31. The chinese were so drugged up again that it was not even funny. Also this was set in China. There is no way anyone runs anywhere close to this time in our lifetime. Another record out of reach.
Those seem the ones that are the most out there. All 5 need to be stricken from the record books. Even athletes don't pay attention to these 5 WR's as they are unattainable.
