Nice try. Felix didn't run the 100 in 2008. Or in 2004. In fact, she ran the exact same events in 2007, 2008, and 2009, and came out on top in 2007 and 2009 but not in 2008. Why? Because Campbell-Brown is also a world class 200m runner.
this is a waste of time talking to people who have never run a race in their lives.
every race you run has a physical and emotional component to it. running the 100M will take away from her performance in the 200M

VCB who smoked her did not run the 100M. VCB's legs were fresh. Felix was travelling all over the world running races in places she had no call running. By the time she got to the OG she was stale and exhausted. She lost badly and VCB with her fresh legs ran 21.74 a time she had/has never been able to touch once she too competes in the 100M.
if felix wants that 200M gold she better forget running the 100M at OG. there is no point to doing so, given that she does not have a chance of even medalling

Good point. Felix's 4x400 leg was her best run in 2008, and came after she'd run a bunch of other races.
Just because she's running it doesn't mean she's trying to steal the spot.
So maybe, since she knows that she is going to the games, she may want to give the spot to Tarmoh, rather than a coin flip, the most sure way to let her win is to race her and purposefully lose!

This isn't really that bad a thing for the sport. Get ready for a surge in girls participation in track and field at the middle school level.
Unfortunately, the down side is that every little girl in the country will think they want to be a sprinter. And when they learn they aren't a sprinter, they'll give up the sport in favor of something more fun. No way they'll think about how much fun it would be to be a distance runner.
I am surprised that Allyson Felix didn't concede and let Tarmoh run the 100. Especially after she won the 200m, which was expected. Felix will be on both the 4x1 and 4x4 relay teams. She should have doubled in the 2 and 4, not the 1 & 2. Last year she was the silver medalist in the 4 at the World Championships and she has never been that consistent in the 100m. Just let Tarmoh run. Felix has a chance to win 3 gold medals in London. The 100m is not one of them.

No, the photo is inconclusive. You can't make a best guess, you have to look at the data's evidence and that is inconclusive

when did she run the 100M at trials?
when did she run the 200M at trials
when are the scheduled times for the 100M & 200M at the OG?
if she wastes times and freshness on the 100M she stands a very good chance of never getting that 200M gold that she has been coveting.
