Duane Solomon runs 45.98 400 at OXY Meet

45.98 is 45.98 not 46. If my goal is to break 46 then I'd be happy to see 45.99. I understand the logic of what some of you are saying about that, but don't discredit a man for running FASTER than 46. It's an FAT time not a hand held time so it's a legit sub 46. And don't compare other guys relay splits, Lord knows everyone runs different with a baton in their hand. I've seen guys run almost 2 seconds faster (FAT splits) in a 4x4 then their open 400.

Symmonds is a beast, looked great running DMR at Penn Relays. It's an Olympic year, so guys seem ready to bring it. I like how Jock is so aggressive in first 400, I hope he continues to run that way.

45.98 is 45.98. It is stupid to continue to debate over whether it is a 45 or 46. It is 45.98.

And I see some genius decided to pick Primm right after I outlined how idiotic you have to be to think Primm will make the olympic team

As a person with a 400 PR of exactly 45.98 myself, and thus the foremost expert on these boards about this topic, I'd say yes: DS is a 45 and not a 46 runner. Yeah, definitely. ;)

I think Albertao Juantorena is the only world class 800 guy with a faster 400 PR than Everett.
